Job Description

Great opportunity to get in at the ground floor and learn the Architectural Roofing trade whilst working on some fantastic/iconic buildings in and around Christchurch and occasionally further afield.

This role is all about supporting our skilled Installers to prepare and install a range of sheet metal products (including Copper, Steel, Aluminum and Zinc) both in the workshop and on site.

So…….. to be in the running you must:

  • Have a proven track record of being reliable and regularly turning up for work on-time.
  • Be keen + able to work hard and listen/learn in a timely manner.
  • Be comfortable working with metal products and fabricating machinery (such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls to cut bend, block and form or straighten materials).
  • Be okay with working at heights.

We are looking for a tech-savvy and enthusiastic person to join our business in what is a varied and exciting role in Digital Marketing, web content and internal sales.

Being a smaller, family owned business this role is wide in its responsibilities, and you will be replacing an existing staff member who is looking to travel overseas. You do not need any marketing or sales experience as you will have a full handover and plenty of training for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting on social media
  • Maintaining our databases and website
  • Keeping track of our social media statistics and trends
  • Contribute to new marketing initiatives
  • Manage email campaigns to customers
  • General support to the wider team
  • Showroom and dealer sales

You must have the following attributes:

  • Passion, and enthusiasm
  • Digital marketing experience, including social media platforms
  • An ability to sell yourself and our products
  • Be willing to immerse yourself in different areas of the business, and learn about our products and services.
  • An interest in the marine/boating industry would be desirable but is not a set requirement.

To succeed in this role you do not need any experience in marketing, but an interest in this areas would be great. Above all else, you will need to show a desire to learn and willingness to take control of your area of responsibility. You will be a positive person with good communication skills.
