Lachlan has always had an interest in aviation and travel and thought he would like to explore this further. Lachlan is currently enrolled on Service IQ’s Aviation Gateway programme that is run jointly with the Canterbury Aero Club. This programme is a fantastic way for students to get a feel for what it is like to fly an aircraft, plus gain an insight about other career roles within the aviation industry. The photo above shows Lachlan preparing for his his first flying lesson.
Are you interested in a career in Butchery or wanting to gain some insight into what it would entail??
A Gateway Butchery programme has been developed in conjunction with Progressive Enterprises and Countdown. Students will be placed in a Countdown Store one day per week for ten weeks. Here students will learn trade skills of the industry and have the opportunity to complete 20 industry credits to support their practical learning. These credits will count towards a Butchery qualification should the student decide that they wish to pursue Butchery as a career.
Applicants will also potentially be considered for an offer of employment from Progressive which may lead to an apprenticeship.
