On Air is an exciting new CPIT holiday workshop focusing on broadcast media.
Held from 14-16 July and run by the New Zealand Broadcasting School at CPIT, it’s a rare opportunity for Year 12 and 13 students to get hands-on experience in television and radio settings, to help them decide if it’s a career they’d like to pursue.
During the three days of On Air, students will have a go at a range of television and radio roles (like floor management, sound, lighting, camera, directing, announcing) in real studio environments. They’ll also produce a series of mock television interviews. At the end of the final day they’ll have the opportunity to attend the New Zealand Broadcasting School’s information evening. This is a valuable event for anyone wishing to apply for Broadcasting School in 2016.
On Air costs $300 per student and registrations can be made online click here to register. We would be grateful if you could bring it to the attention of any students who may be considering a career in broadcast media.
