Aspen Joinery Ltd. currently has an opportunity available for someone who is keen to train and qualify as a cabinet maker/joiner.
We have had great success with a previous student of Ao Tawhiti. Cameron has recently qualified. He started with us 4 years ago with no experience. Today he is a skilled and qualified cabinet maker/joiner. He is adept not only in the workshop but on-site with installation. He manufactures joinery from both panel product and solid timber. He is the principal operator of our CNC and Edgebanding machines with responsibility for training others. He has also gained valuable experience as a programmer for our CNC.
We would like to offer the same opportunity to someone else. This position is currently not advertised and we are offering this in the first instance to potential secondary school leavers.
The candidate should be honest, have an interest in woodwork, be practical, have a good attitude to work and be keen to learn.
The apprentice will be trained in conjunction with BCITO.
We are Aspen Joinery, formally trading as Corbel Joinery and under new ownership since June 2017. We are a team of seven with a diverse range of skills. We cater to the residential, commercial and architectural markets (we have recently completed the first stage joinery fit out for Hornby High School) We work primarily with panel product (mdf/melamine) but regularly use solid timber in many of our projects. We are located at 3 Morse Road, Wigram.
If interested in applying for the position, or would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Martin Diack on 021 795 656 or alternatively email email@example.com
