Summer Holiday Work

Sergios Menswear are looking for a well-presented young man to join them over the Christmas Holidays  to work on the shop floor.


Hours will be 3-4 Days per week (20-30 hours) which will include at least 1 weekend day and then turning into 1-2 days (7-13 hours) part time employment per week during 2022.


A year 13 going to University in Christchurch next year would be their preference – just some bullet points for the role below but the main tasks will be Customer service and in the down time keeping the shop floor and store areas tidy.

WANTED: Kitchen Hands


A local busy restaurant is currently looking for kitchen hands. Hours of work are 5.30pm to approximately 10pm.

Two positions need to be filled to cover 5 days a week, on shift including weekends.  “Free Dinner” is provided if on duty.

  4. An indication of your course dates

This may include any up to date:

This event (running and cycling) will be held at Corsair Bay.  The role will be to marshal corners/turns for participants – no prior experience required and specific time commitment will be confirmed.  An opportunity to be support by being involved at grass roots level with a sporting event.  .

This event will be held in Southbridge (30-45 minutes from Christchurch).  The role will be to marshal for participants – no prior experience required.  You will be required to be on site from approximately 8.30am to approximately 11am on the day of the event.  An opportunity to be involved and support at grass roots level a sporting event.

Part-time Barista/Cafe Assistant

Robert Harris Hornby is looking for a cheerful weekend staff member that knows his/her way around a café and who is capable of supporting the other team members.

Some of the qualities we are looking for are:

  • Should you be successful at progressing, you will be required to take our swim test and interview from 11 to 13 August 2021
  • If successful through the interview process you will be required to undertake two full days of lifeguard training followed by a lifeguard assessment to gain your formal Pool Lifeguard Qualification before you start your role. This will be provided to you by the Christchurch City Council. The course will be held on 6 to 7 September with the assessment day on 14 September.
  • Before the Lifeguard training assessment date you will need a Comprehensive First Aid Certificate
